Trans fat comes from deep-frying foods in a deep fryer, they cook the food in oil this oil has a high fat content when you deep fry, the oil goes into the food increasing the fat content to unhealthy levels. If you eat deep-fried food on a regular basis you are at risk for stroke, heart attack, high blood pressure, obesity, diabetes and high cholesterol. Most schools promote healthy eating habits but they allow the schools cafeterias sell food that is unhealthy to the student body. When you sell deep-fried food to kids at school they will think it is healthy because there school is trying to make them have better eating habits. But 29% of kids in Canada are overweight and researchers say by 2040 when the are grown up it will increase to 70% obesity.
We should remove any food with high trans fat & high sugar levels to help us eat healthier and lower the prices of healthier foods so people are drawn to it because they can save money. we should replace the unhealthy food with healthy alternatives also introduce new healthy foods to make it appealing. With the healthier foods people will be able to save money.
In conclusion I think deep-fried food should be kept out of our diets to help people eat better, and have lower health risks.
